Who is Carolyn Dean?

Carolyn Dean is a doctor with over 5 decades of growing practice. She is the author of more than 50 books, including the bestselling The Magnesium Miracle® and other well-known publications such as IBS for Dummies, Hormone Balance, Death by Modern Medicine, and more than 110 Kindle books. Her focus on magnesium earned her an award from the Heart Rhythm Society in the UK for “Outstanding Medical Contribution to Cardiac Rhythm Management in 2012”.

Dr Carolyn Dean developed her diverse medical background by researching nutrients, homeopathy and other alternative therapies nearly 5 decades ago while studying as an MD at Dalhousie Medical School, Toronto, Canada.

After graduating, Dr Carolyn Dean began incorporating her application of alternative therapies into conventional medicine, becoming one of the first functional medicine doctors in Canada. She is known for being a certified dietitian and nutritionist, naturopath and Chinese medicine herbalist and she has used these methods in her private practice and subsequent work in Canada, the United States and in international communities where she travelled and lectured.
